What is musictools direct?

musictools direct offers downloadable piano accompaniment and guide tracks, for students and teachers studying or teaching musical instrument grade exams. The tracks are available in mp3 format for you to download instantly.

Is it legal?

Yes! Downloading mp3s from musictools direct is 100% legal, where applicable every download generates a royalty for the rights holders of that piece.

How does it work?

We have designed the musictools direct website, to make it as easy as possible for you to find the mp3 you require quickly and easily. You can use our handy search facility, browse our catalogue alphabetically, or browse by instrument, syllabus and grade. You'll find each grade presented in a familiar 'list' layout.

Once you've found your piece add it to your basket and continue shopping or use our secure online payment facility, powered by paypal to checkout. When your payment has cleared you will receive an email with a link to your download page. For every accompanied piece you will receive 2 mp3s, one accompaniment only and one accompaniment with instrument guide. For unaccompanied 'guide' tracks you will receive one mp3. You will have 24hrs and 3 attempts to download your pieces, in the unlikely event that you should encounter any problems please email our helpdesk and we'll sort it out!

I don't have a PayPal account

You don't need to have a PayPal account to use musictools direct, you can pay with most major debit or credit cards, easily and securely.

Can I use my mp3s in an exam?

Each exam board has its own rules about the use of recorded accompaniment in an exam situation, please check with your examining body.

Do I have to become a member to download mp3s?

No, you can purchase mp3s without signing in, but membership is free and we will be introducing exclusive 'members only content' for free download very soon.

What is a musictools affiliate?

Our affiliate program is available to schools, colleges, organisations, music retailers and music teachers. Sign up to become a musictools affiliate and we will provide you with a unique affiliate code, give this code to your students, clients or customers, and ask them to enter it when purchasing mp3s from musictools.
