What is musictools direct?
musictools direct offers downloadable piano accompaniment and guide tracks, for students and teachers studying or teaching musical instrument grade exams. The tracks are available in mp3 format for you to download instantly. Along side our mp3 downloads we are now very happy to offer for sale sheet music books. If you purchase digital goods (mp3s) and physical goods (sheet music) your downloads will be delivered to you via email once your payment has cleared and your physical goods will arrive in the post a couple of days later!
Is it legal?
Yes! Downloading mp3s from musictools direct is 100% legal, where applicable every download generates a royalty for the rights holders of that piece.
How does it work?
We have designed the musictools direct website, to make it as easy as possible for you to find the mp3 or sheet music you require quickly and easily. You can use our handy search facility, or browse our categories, wherever possible we have broken the categories down into subcategories to help you to get the mp3 or sheet music you are after as quickly as possible.
Once you've found your piece or sheet music add it to your basket and continue shopping or use our secure online payment facility, powered by paypal to checkout. When your payment has cleared you will receive an email with a link to download your files. You will have 24hrs and 3 attempts to download your pieces, we will despatch any sheet music the next working day wherever possible. In the unlikely event that you should encounter any problems please email our helpdesk and we'll sort it out!
I don't have a PayPal account
You don't need to have a PayPal account to use musictools direct, you can pay with most major debit or credit cards, easily and securely.
Can I use my mp3s in an exam?
Each exam board has its own rules about the use of recorded accompaniment in an exam situation, please check with your examining body.
Do I have to become a member to use the store?
No, you can purchase mp3s and sheet music without signing in, but membership is free and will speed up the checkout process for any future orders.
